"When the sun rises, the earth is in joy."
A man sits in front of a sycomore fig tree bearing fruit in this hieroglyphic ode to the relationship between the sun and the earth. "Sycomore" with an "o" is the name of the fig tree Ancient Egyptians cultivated around the Nile, as opposed to the sycamore maple tree of Europe and the American sycamore. This piece is on a 5 x 7 inch piece of sustainable papyrus and rendered in safe, modern replacements for period pigments.
Every attempt has been made to ensure the colors on the screen match the original, but due to differences between monitor and mobile displays it may vary slightly from the actual painting. Mobile screens may increase contrast, intensity, and saturation.
