1. Black cats are just as loving, loyal and playful as other cats, but are the least likely to be adopted and the most likely to die in shelters.
2. You can pet them before work and their fur won't show up on your clothes.
3. Black cats are lucky in Japan, (and Japan is cool!) The black Maneki Neko protects you from evil.
4. You save money on Halloween decorations.
5. In Ancient Egypt, where cats were domesticated, black represented good and red represented evil. Egyptians believed hosting a black cat would bring the favor of Bastet, the goddess of protection against contagious diseases.
6. As Bastet was a good mother, Egyptian women who wanted children would wear amulets of Bastet with her kittens.
7. Lots of people have tiger cats that don't look like tigers. When you say you have a house panther it really looks like a house panther.
